Review of the Nile Hilton in Cairo, Egypt
When you stay at the Nile Hilton you are right in the slap bang in the heart
of the loud, brash, vibrant, overwhelming city of Cairo. In fact the Nile
Hilton couldn't be more centrally located if it wanted to. It is right next
to the Egyptian Museum and overlooks the River Nile.
The Nile Hilton has a shopping mall in addition to the usual services offered by a Hilton, but we found shopping in the Souk a much more enjoyable and authentic experience.
The staff were all lovely to us and gave us valuable tips on bartering technique and tipping.

Go visit the pyramids at Giza by all means, but the real treasures of Cairo are the Citadel, the massive Khan Al Khalili market (founded by Emir Djaharks el-Khalili in 1382) and the Cairo Old Cemetry.
Zamalek Island is a great place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle.
