The waterfront was a fantastic choice for our first visit to Cape Town.
Review of Radisson Waterfront, Cape Town, South Africa
Cape Town does have its problems, as shown by the free shuttle bus to the touristy and safe waterfront area. We were told that walking was not advised, particularly after dark.
The Radisson itself was lovely. We had a wonderfully decorated room in a modern South African style, a lavish bathroom and a view over the ocean to die for. The food was great and the indulgance of ordering room service at sunset should be tried at least once or twice
Very attentive staff service around the tiny infinity pool was exactly what the wife wanted. She rarely moved from her sunlounger. I think the size of the pool will disappoint people who want to swim there all day long.
I went exploring and found Cape Town and all of South Africa to be vibrant, exciting and not half as dangerous as some guests were making it out to be. We went to some plays which have a very different african aesthetic to european theatre and found the whole experience wonderful.

My big tip is not to miss out on a trip up table mountain. The views are astonishing and the wildlife of South Africa is fascinating. We asked at the hotel about a guide for the day out and they found us a real expert on South African nature to show us around. this was a highlight of the trip and showed the Raddission in a very good light.
