A truly great island, but if you spend your vacation in the casino, why bother to come in the first place?.
Review of Aruba Grand Resort, Oranjestad, Aruba
We got a very cheap last minute deal and ended up in the Aruba Grand. It is a wonderfully well designed and richly ornamented resort with so much to see and do. There is an olympic sized swimming pool, a golf course shuttle bus as well as water skiing, wind surfing, parasailing and scuba diving.
The other guests mostly seemed more interested in slot machines than the perfect beaches, sports facilities and local culture. They should have saved themselves the cost of the airfare.
My family spent our time on the wonderful white sand just outside the back door. The tropical palm trees and crystal clear waters were all you could possibly want from a beach.
The staff were amazingly attentive to our needs and the bedrooms were both large and comfortable. In short, as long as you can avoid the casino you can live like royalty on your aruba vacation at the Aruba Grand Resort.
During your stay, dont miss visiting the amazing coastline at the north of Aruba island where the waves have carved stunning arched coral bridges and deep caves from the cliff faces. Ask the front desk for excursion information. The other highlight for me was the deep sea fishing where I caught my first marlin.
