Turtle Beach was a fantastic choice for our family holiday to Barbados.

Review of Turtle Beach, Bridgetown, Barbados

We found this resort on the web and booked an all-inclusive package online. The transfer from the airport was just 15 minutes.

The staff were wonderful from the moment we arrived to the moment we departed. They offered advice and help and displayed the laid back professionalism that the island is famed for. The resort is on the south of the island and has a mile of beautiful soft sandy beach to play on. There were also two swimming pools for when the wind whipped up the waves.

There were plenty of places to eat but some were better than others. The open-air restaurant had a standard vacation menu comprising a mishmash of international styles and the decor was just plain odd. The Waterfront was a more relaxing spot to eat and then while away an evening or two. The Italian Restaurant was very good but didn't let in kids under 12 years old which was a shame because our youngest loves italian food.

Entertainments were big loud brash cheesy affairs and we loved the shows. These guys have the talent to entertain and we liked their style.

Of course, the real spectacle of turtle beach is to see the turtles come ashore to lay their eggs. Thankfully the staff ensure the turtles are not disturbed by the visitors and we got to see this natural spectacular, although apparently numbers are diminishing and we had to wonder whether that was partly our fault?
