Kos Reviews
The water at the beaches on Kos is crystal clear and is a great temperature for swimming for most of the year.
Kos Town is very lively and has a pedestrian historic centre with some lovely medieval architecture.
Kos is probably the greenest of the Dodecanese islands and so a bit of inland exploration will be greatly rewarded. A long thin island, Kos is different from the mountainous greek islands in that it is mostly low-lying as if purposefully keeping its head down so as not to disturb the Turkish mainland, which is very close.
Average temperatures go from 13 degrees in march, rising to 29C in July and August, dropping to just 16 in november for those looking for a winter break on this lovely greek island.
I really enjoyed our stay on Kos because of the beaches It also has some of the most interesting archaeological sites in the Mediterranean which Chris could go off and explore on his own (apparently ASKLEPION is amazing, as if I cared), leaving me in peace to work on the tan.
Didn't find much good food on Kos unless you like chips with everything. Thank heavens for greek salad.
Lots of great flight deals available for the greek islands. Don't pay more
than a couple of hundred pounds to get there from London.
