Coco Palm Resort, Maldives - Reviewed
We were really Impressed by the beauty and the hospitality of the Coco Palm resort.
The island is paradise! The white sand is perfect, the turquoise ocean is as clear as water and there are wonderful snorkelling facilities. All the brochures about the maldives don't begin to give you a sense of just how tranquil and beautiful these islands really are.
Coco Palm Resort facilities
The clear blue waters are filled with rays, moray eels, dolphins and baby sharks which is a great attraction, but you can go anywhere in the maldives to experience the underwater world. What makes the Coco Palm resort so special is the attentive staffing, intimate atmosphere and great facilities.
The all-inclusive option includes food and drinks taken at the main restarant (very dark in there, but good and sometimes great food) and the other snack stops on the island such as the The Cornus Bar and Grill and the Conch bar.
The lagoon Villas are just wonderful to stay in with enourmous beds covered by high quality sheeting. The room was kept spotless (thanks to Abdulla) and we felt very well cared for. I liked the fact that the huts are all thatched in traditional Maldivan style.
So that covers eating, slepping and mucking about in the water. What else? Not much really apart from either enjoying the excellent spa facilities or lying on the beach. The whole point of the Maldives is to get away from all the nonsense and relax. The Coco palm is where I would go to do it.
Ooops, I almost forgot to mention the sand. Soft fine and white sand everywhere which only adds to the feeling of being in a movie about how the rich and famous live.
