Kuramathi Island, Maldives - Reviewed
Kuramathi Village is one of three resorts on this little island. We took at 10 hour flight from Gatwick to Male and then a one and a half hour boat ride to Kuramathi.
The welcome was lovely and they gave us cold drinks and towels to relax us after the journey. We slept for a few hours and then got up to explore our 1 km island which sits just off the North Alif Atoll.
Facilities at Kuramathi Village
Kuramathi Village has four restaurants each serving good food. The all inclusive option meant we were limited by wihich restaurants we could eat in without payng, but with free wine with meals, plus beer and spirits anytime day or night we would recoomend you choose an all inclusive package.
There was very nice padded cane furniture in our room which was cleaned twice a day by very helpful staff. We were given our own little safe in the room for passports money and so on, but we never felt the need to use it.
The entertainments comprised a blissfully air conditioned disco, local drummers and dancers and one night we got to listen to a lounge singer with a great choice of cheesy tunes.
The sea was blue and warm and full of tropical fish so we snorkelled every day. There was a diving school but that looked like hard work while we just wanted to relax. Kuramathi is a fantastic resort for relaxing.
