Gran Canaria

Spain

Gran Canaria is the largest of the canary islands. Yes, the usual Spanish holiday beaches await you here, but in addition there is so much more for instance, driving up to almost two thousand metres above sea level at Roque Nublo to watch the incredible sunsets is a magical experience. The landscape is strangely lunar and the sea never looks so inviting as when the last rays glance off its surface. Then perhaps you could consider a visit to Puerto de Mogán (a picturesque little village known as Little Venice) which is bustling with boutiques and friendly bars offering some of the best tapas around. Gran Canaria is a real treasure.
