Newquay in Cornwall is packed with places to go and things to see. Obviously, first of all we have the beaches. Fistral is popular with both survers and sunbathers and is my personal fave. There is always a cool vibe during the summer, although off season it is even better, with just a few hardy surfers and some excellent waves for company. Away from the water's edge, but continuing the nautical theme, Blue Reef Aquarium is packed with marine life allowing visitors to get up close and personal with residents. This place also helps animals in distress such as a loggerhead turtle who was stranded and is now being nursed back to health so she can be released back into the ocean when she is fit a well. Another animal attraction is Newquay zoo with more than 130 different animal species set in lakeside gardens.
Nightlife in Newquay is inclusive. There are some nightclubs (The Beach, Teazers, The Koola Club, Sailors Nightclub,The Walkabout,The Barracuda and Corkers) as well as lots of pubs and restaurants (check out La Rochelle French Restaurant) if you want great food.
