Torremolinos has reinvented itself over the last few years as a quality destination for European holidaymakers seeking sun sea and sand. There are still a number of gay nightclubs but the straight 18-30 crowd has largely moved on meaning that the resort is becoming more family oriented and a bit less raucous. This has also meant that a number of really good quality Spanish restaurants have replaced some of the down-market burger and chips cafes that once blighted the area.
the beach in Torremolinos is still lovely and an artistic tradition of beach sculptures thrives here, so every day someone will have made some new thing of beauty for visitors to enjoy.
