DeTuilerieen

This is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Less than 50 rooms so it never feels crowded, DeTuilerieen has played host to european royalty and famous singers and actors in recent years.

Overlooking the tranquil Den Dyver canal, located just a few minutes from the central square. The hotel is actually signposted from the square, so no chance of not finding it.

My wife let out a likke shriek of delight when she saw our room. Tasteful and stylish, with lots of space to lounge around in.

Downstairs, they keep the pool sauna and steam bath open till 2.00am which is great if you need a dip before bedtime.

The Breakfast was another delight. Champagne and a chocolate fountain sit alongside more obvious morning rools, cold cheeses and meats, yogurts and cereals. This being Belgium, fresh pancakes are also serves in the morning.

The staff were lovely, providing advice, chat and even a free bicycle loan when asked.

DeTuilerieen really does have it all and thoroghly deserves to be recommended as your home away from home, next time you visit the wonderful city of Bruges.
