Finding hotels in England
United Kingdom, London, London
Finding the right Hotel in England has always been a bit of a problem. There are so many and there are some very defined types of hotel. This may not be apparent to visitors who can end up making costly mistakes.
For example, many 'guest houses', particularly those in coastal towns are old fashioned, stuffy and full of bad food.
However, there are ways to avoid such horrors.
Review books such as johnansens guide or online sites like Really Good Hotels or Mr and Mrs Smith will just show you the good hotels and will have screened out the less impressive stuff on your behalf.
Another tip is to look at the wording used by adverts. Old fashioned hotels never use the term boutique because it would turn away their core trade. So if you see boutique you know the owner is at least trying to attract you.
